Dress Down Day
As a result of recent feedback from the Primary Student Council we are delighted to announce that one day per month (usually the last Friday or the day closest to this date) we will be holding a Dress Down Day. For this month it will take place on Friday the 30th of May with students being invited to come to school on this day dressed in black and white clothing. Please note if your child does not want to come dressed according to this theme, then they should come dressed in school uniform as normal. This new initiative is an excellent example of how student agency can drive decision making in the school.

On Wednesday, the SDS team invited the parents of Year 4 and Year 5 students to attend a puberty workshop, equipping them with the knowledge and skills to support their children through this important time in their lives. Visual Arts – Ceramic Workshop
On Thursday 15th May Year 11IB were very fortunate to be able to attend a ceramic workshop organised by the ex-Visual Arts student, artist and Art teacher Gloriana Riggioni. She introduced the students to different techniques and ways of working with the media in the style of her own work at MatiEarth in Goa, India. It was a great experience and the students produced wonderful spontaneous work in clay. Thank you again to Gloriana for taking time out of her busy schedule to share her experiences with the IB Visual Arts students. Photo / Photo
