Open House – Early Years 2025
We are pleased to inform you that on Saturday 7^th of September from 9:00 am to 12:30 pm, we will be hosting an Open House day for all those families interested in enrolling their children in Early Years and who would like to come and see the school.  If any of your family members, friends or colleagues are interested, please contact the Admissions department via WhatsApp (8461-7965) or email (admissions@bscr.ed.cr) for more information.
 
Gran Classic Race XXXV
This weekend we held our annual Grand Classic BSCR 2024 race, which was a resounding success thanks to the participation and support of our community. We celebrated a day full of physical activity, excitement, and healthy coexistence. Congratulations to all the winners in the different race and match categories held throughout the day.  We would like to thank the PE Department and all of the Administrative staff members whose hard work, both before and during the event, made it such a successful and enjoyable day!

Great news for the BSCR Primary Math Olympiad Team
Congratulations to Naima Álvarez (Year 6) for scoring in the Top 5% nationwide in the COLIBRI Primary Math Competition round one of 2024.  We wish her, and all of the team, well in round two which will be held on Saturday 7^th of September in Cartago.  Well done!

Career Day 2024
We are excited to announce that next Tuesday 27^th of August, our Year 10, 11, and 12 students will participate in the Annual Career Day at the school. They will have the opportunity to attend presentations by 22 prominent professionals from diverse fields, including Science and Technology, Health Sciences, Social Sciences, Business and Economics, the Arts, and Architecture. Students will be able to interact, ask questions, and gain insights from these experts. Additionally, there will be keynote presentations focusing on the skills sought by big international companies and the future of STEM careers.  This is a fantastic opportunity for students to explore potential career paths and prepare for their futures. Don’t miss out!
 
University Fair – 2024
Next Friday 30^th of August, Year 10, 11, and 12 students will attend the College Fair in our school gym. Over 25 institutions will participate, including national public and private universities, international universities, and organizations providing information about studying in countries like the USA, Australia, France, and Germany. Students can visit the stands to learn about academic programs, foreign exchanges, financial support, and many other important topics. Don’t miss this chance to explore your academic future!
 
IGCSE Informative session for parents
On Thursday 29^th of August, at 8:30 am there will be an online informative session for parents of Year 8, Year 9 and Year 10 students about the IGCSE program with Ana Rojas.  We invite you to join this session using the following Google Meet link: meet.google.com/dmv-jkub-nzt.
 
NB/IB Informative session for parents
On Wednesday 28^th of August, at 8:30 am there will be an online informative session for parents of Year 10 to find out more about our NB and IB programmes.  This session will be with our International Baccalaureate (IB) Coordinator, Ms. Sundey Christensen, and National Baccalaureate (NB) Coordinator, Ms. Maria Castillo.  Our University Counsellor, Ms. Ana Lourdes Baumgartner, will also share some perspectives related to university admissions and will answer any questions that parents have.  We invite you to join this session using the following Google Meet link: https://meet.google.com/hsi-qkyb-twc
