Campus Closed Tuesday February 2nd, 2021

Other News and Updates, School Bulletin

Dear BSCR Community,

We regret to inform you that the BSCR campus will be closed for all in-person learning on Tuesday the 2nd of February.

The reason for this decision is that the Instituto Costarricense de Acueductos y Alcantarillados (AyA) has announced that the Pavas area, where the School is located, will be without water between 7am and 7pm on this date due to construction work on the Circunvalación.  As water is a fundamental requirement of our Health and Safety procedures we feel we have no option but to close our campus on this date.

The closure of our campus means that all classes, in all year levels, on Tuesday will be undertaken virtually.  Year 4 and Year 6 students will receive their classes in the virtual format that they have been receiving them thus far while Early Years and Year 1 students will receive an email from their form teacher with instructions for the learning activities for this day.  It is important to note that we expect to be open as normal on Wednesday and the closure of our campus on Tuesday will not affect the previously published schedule for in-person learning.

We send our sincere apologies for any inconvenience that this decision will cause but hope that our Community understands that we do not feel that we can safely open our campus on this date in light of the decision made by the Instituto Costarricense de Acueductos y Alcantarillados (AyA).

Kind regards,
School Administration
