Year 4 – Gold Museum Visit
Year 4 had a wonderful visit to the Museo de Oro on Thursday. They all came back to school having learned some interesting facts about the role that gold has played in the development of Costa Rica.

Primary Talent Show
Our Primary Talent Show will be taking place on Friday 8th of September (Children’s Day). Students wishing to participate need to send to Mr. Evans (mevans@bscr.ed.cr) a 1-2 minute video of their performance by Friday, August 11th. A team of teachers will then choose the acts for the show. If your child would like to perform then please do encourage your child to submit a video. All forms of talent, which can be displayed on a school stage, will be permitted. We will send further information over the coming weeks though please do not hesitate to email Mr. Evans if you have any specific questions.

Cross Country
Congratulations to Thiago Núñez (Year 4) on finishing seventh in the Cross Country event of the MEP Regional Sports Competition.

Secondary

Semester Exam Week
During the Week of June 5th to June 9th, Secondary students will be sitting semester exams.  All students have been sent their schedule for that week.  Years 6, 7 and 8 students will only have exams in Maths and Sciences while other year levels may have exams starting the previous Friday (2nd of June) or end the following Monday 12th of June.  All Secondary students are expected to be in School between 8:00 am and 3:00 pm each day of this week, regardless of whether they have exams, regular classes or Study Hall scheduled.

Year 6 Camp
On Tuesday and Wednesday of this week our Year 6 generation spent two days at the La Montaña Christian Camps in San Ramón.  Students participated in a range of activities throughout the two days aimed at promoting teamwork and having fun.

PE Uniform
We would like to clarify that students are permitted to wear their PE uniform to School only on days when they receive Physical Education classes.  If a student does not have the official PE uniform, provided by Tonka, then they are expected to wear their regular school uniform on days in which they have PE.  They will then be permitted to change into Sporting clothes at the start of their Physical Education class.

For IGCSE Physical Education students and students participating in afterschool clubs, the expectation is that students will wear the regular School uniform throughout the day and then change into the required sporting clothes at the start of the physical activity.
