UPDATES AND NOTIFICATIONS:

WEEK IN REVIEW: With the end of the semester rapidly approaching, our Secondary students have been undertaking end of semester exams for the last couple of weeks.  While we recognise that conducting exams via virtual platforms is far from ideal, we have been extremely impressed by the professionalism and dedication of our teachers as they have done everything that they can to ensure that our students continue to receive authentic and reliable assessments during this period.  We would like to take the opportunity to publicly thank both students and staff members for their flexibility and willingness to adapt during these challenging times.

ECO-WEEK POSTER COMPETITION: Congratulations to the following five students on being named the winners of the 2021 Eco-Week Poster competition: Carolina Reyes (Year 12), Marcella Haigh Patel (Year 7), Cristel Haaversen (Year 8), Maripaz Asís (Year 8) and Ally Lin (Year 8).

GREEN DAY: On Friday the 4th of June, Early Years and Primary celebrated Green Day.  Throughout the day, students from each of the year levels participated in a number of learning activities aimed at promoting sustainability and environmental awareness.

WELLBEING CAMPAIGN: For the last month, our Primary and Secondary SDS Team have been implementing a new emotional wellbeing campaign aimed at supporting and promoting the health of our community at this challenging time. Students have been provided with daily activities that aim to promote such things as resilience, social skills, emotion management and solidarity. Thank you to all members of our community who have actively participated in this important campaign.

HEALTH AND SAFETY: We would like to thank all members of our community for their continued compliance with the required health and safety procedures.  We also remind you to please ensure that you immediately notify our Health and Safety Committee NOW AT covid-19@bscr.ed.cr or directly the nurse at infirmary@bscr.ed.cr about any updates related to Covid-19 within your social bubble.
