End of Year Thanks  –  As we approach the end of the 2022 academic year, we would like to express our gratitude to all members of our Learning Community for the support that they have given to our students over the last 10 months.  This has been another highly challenging year as, among other things, we have negotiated the challenges posed by Covid-19, the abrupt cancellation of the Ministry of Education’s FARO programme and the development of our personalised learning methodology.  However, due to the ongoing professionalism and dedication of our staff members, the engagement of our students and the support of our parents we have ensured that our students were provided with high quality learning experiences on a daily basis.  As a result, we send our appreciation to all members of our Learning Community and wish each of you a happy and healthy vacation period.

Early Years and Primary

Report Cards  –  Report cards are all being prepared and you should receive your child’s end of year report by email towards the end of next week.

Early Years 3 Crossing Over Ceremony  –  On Thursday of this week, Early Years 3 students participated in our first “Crossing Over” ceremony to celebrate these students passing from our Early Years section to our Primary Section. The ceremony and celebration were wonderful and we would like to thank all of the staff, parents and students for helping to make this a very special day for Early Years 3.

Transition Morning  –  All students have now had the opportunity to spend some time in their new class for next year. The transition activities on Monday all went well and the students are very excited about the challenges that next year will bring.

Choir Performances  –  Our Choir performances by Early Years 3, Year 2 and Year 4 on Tuesday were excellent. We will be continuing with Year 1, Year 3 and Year 5 Choir performances next Monday. The teachers will upload the performances onto Dojo or Tapestry.

Drama  –  Throughout this week both Year 4 and Year 5 have been presenting small plays to a school audience. Drama continues to be emphasized throughout the curriculum and we hope to be able to extend the drama programme for next school year.

Spirit Week  –  It has been great to see so many students take part in our final “Spirit Week” of the year. We are now waiting to see how much hair gel will be used in preparation for “Crazy Hair” Day this Friday.

Final Celebration  –  Each Early Years and Primary Year group is planning a small celebration party on the final school day of the year, Wednesday 30th of November.  As a result, Form Teachers may be asking you, via email, to bring in a few extra snacks for this event. As a reminder, all students will leave at 12 noon and there will be no After School on this day.

Group 4 Project
This week our Year 11 IB students have been working on their multi-disciplinary (Biology, Chemistry, Physics) Group 4 Project.   This collaborative activity invites students to practically investigate a scientific area of interest in order to appreciate the environmental, social and ethical implications of science.
