International Fair
We would like to thank all members of our Learning Community who attended our annual International Fair on Saturday. It was lovely to see so many members of our Community come together to raise funds for our student’s service-learning projects (we will share the amount that was raised in next week’s bulletin). We would particularly like to thank all staff members who worked extremely hard both before and during the event to make it such a success.
CAS – International Fair
Our international fair is a treasured opportunity for our CAS students to reflect on their journey at the BSCR and to be of service to our community by working in various roles throughout the day.
We also want to thank all who supported our book sale, a CAS initiative started by Amanda Lazo (Year 12), which took place throughout the International Fair. This was a chance to purchase children’s books in English, support our commitment to reduce, reuse and recycle and to raise money for an organisation we have close connections to. We collected and have donated ₡ 147,700 which has already been delivered to the Asociacion Roblealto. Upon receiving the donation, a representative shared with us:
“We received with great gratitude the donation from the students of the British School, the result of their Book Fair. Knowing that they dedicated their time and effort to support the children of Roblealto fills us with joy and hope.”
Staff Training Day
On Friday the 28th of February all BSCR staff members will be participating in a range of professional development activities. These include training sessions on Child Protection, Meeting Student Learning Needs, Google’s Education Suite and the role of Artificial Intelligence in learning.
Vehicle Movement on Campus
We would like to remind all parents about the importance of adhering to our vehicle movement and parking procedures while on campus. Our procedures, as detailed in the Parent Handbook, can be accessed here – Vehicles and Parking on Campus. Thank you for your understanding.

Year 4 enjoyed an informative session on Thursday of this week led by one of our fathers, Mauricio Obón, who introduced us to the circulatory system. We learned about the important roles of the organs within this body system, and the function of the circulatory system as a whole. Photo
